Ian Waddell was British Columbia’s Minister of Culture for much of the 1990s. He previously spent 14 years as an MP in the House of Commons in Ottawa. His first novel, A Thirst to Die For, draws on his familiarity with the business of water exports—and on Waddell’s inside knowledge of the Canadian parliament and its personalities—to tell a fast-paced mystery with a good dose of adventure. He is currently an entertainment lawyer and film producer.
