Paul Yee

2, 14, 30, 56

Paul Yee’s university research and volunteer work in Vancouver’s Chinatown has informed much of his historical fiction for young readers. His books include Tales from Gold Mountain: The Chinese in the New World, Breakaway, Boy in the Attic and Ghost Train, which won the Governor General’s Award in 1996. His new book, The Jade Necklace, is inspired by the Wing Sang collection at the Vancouver Museum, and takes the reader on a magical voyage of love and forgiveness, bravery and community.
Paul Yee’s appearance is sponsored by The Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation.
