William Gibson single-handedly invented the cyber-fiction genre
with his first novel, Neuromancer. His other books include Count
Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive, Burning Chrome, Virtual
Light, Idoru and All Tomorrow's Parties. His latest novel,
Pattern Recognition, is the first of his books to be set in the present,
but is nevertheless vintage Gibson: "at once utterly immediate and strangely
timeless."
