Brian Brett is the author of the poetry collections The Color of Bones In a Stream, Allegories of Love and Disaster, Evolution in Every Direction, Smoke Without Exit and Fossil Ground at Phantom Creek. He has also written the short story collection Tanganyika and the novel The Fungus Garden, as well as a memoir in poetry, Uproar?s Your Only Music. Aside from acting as poetry critic and columnist for several Canadian newspapers, Brett also inaugurated the B.C. Poetry-In-The-Schools program. He currently lives with his family on a farm on Salt Spring Island, BC.
