Edward Willet Gail Bowen’s Joanne Kilbourn mysteries have made her one of Canada’s most popular crime writers. The first book in the series, Deadly Appearances, was nominated for the W.H. Smith-Books in Canada First Novel Award. Some of her mysteries have been produced as made-for-television features. Bowen’s latest novel, The Nesting Dolls, has been praised as one of her best. Head of the English Department at the First Nations University of Canada, Bowen lives in Regina.
