Marina Endicott was born in British Columbia, and grew up in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Her first novel, Open Arms, was nominated for the Amazon.ca First Novel Award in 2002, and her long poem “The Policeman’s Wife, Some Letters” was shortlisted for the national cbc Literary Awards in 2006. Her second novel, Good to a Fault, won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize (Caribbean and Canada region), was a finalist for the Giller Prize in 2008, and was one of the featured books for cbc’s Canada Reads in 2010.The Little Shadows is her most recent novel.
