Literary Sins of Omission

My body refused any attempts to rouse it from sleep this morning, and I completely missed Beyond Atonement, for which I feel terrible. My latent Catholic guilt complex is happy, however, as now I must find some way to atone for this grevious literary error.

How might I be forgiven by the Gods of Literature? Perhaps by being the most enthusiastic audience member at this evening's Literary Cabaret, featuring Sal Ferreras, Amitav Ghosh, Ivan E. Coyote and Kinnie Starr ? Or maybe by first stopping by And But Also: An Evening of Appreciation of the Life and Work of David Foster Wallace, featuring local authors Deborah Campbell, Zsuzsi Gartner, Lee Henderson, Michael Turner and Meg Wolitzer taking place from 7-10 pm in the Dockside Lounge in the Granville Island Hotel?

Well, I'm off to recite some of literary icon  Daphne Marlatt's poetry and self-flagellate, so I'll catch up with you kids later.
