Writer Bio

Maggie de Vries is a writer, editor and teacher and the award-winning author of several children’s books, including How Sleep Found Tabitha and Chance and the Butterfly. Her latest, Tale of a Great White Fish, follows a 177-year-old sturgeon through an extraordinary set of adventures. Her adult non-fiction book, Missing Sarah, was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award. She lives in Vancouver with her husband and two cats. (bio current at February 2010)
