Spreading the Word, the Festival’s education program, is about reading and writing, books and writers. It offers K-12 students and teachers the rare opportunity to engage with internationally renowned writers at the Festival and in the classroom.

October 27, 2009 - We are very pleased to announce the winner of the raffle is Marian MacFarlane of Vancouver, BC.
Andre Petterson has worked in various mediums such as wood, fibreglass, metal and plastic; both in two and three dimensions. He has also created installations, performance, film and kinetic work involving his own music compositions, sets and choreography. More recently his focus has been on painting, photo-based works, steel sculpture and photography. Petterson has exhibited in both private and public galleries in Canada and the United States. He has received awards, served on juries and given lectures. His works are included in public and private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. Petterson’s latest series of work will be on exhibit at the Bau-Xi Gallery in November 2009.
